“I have limited availability for new clients! Please email me if you’re interested in working together!”

“The more healthy relationships a child has, the more likely they will be able to recover from trauma and thrive. Relationships are the agents of change, and the most powerful therapy is human love.” – Dr. Bruce Perry.  Our ability to form meaningful relationships, and to grow depends on our basic need of feeling safe and secure in our environment. This holds true, especially in counseling. When clients have a space where they can feel safe and accepted to bring whatever they need to counseling, the change process can begin.

I am a LPCC in the State of Colorado and a recent graduate from the University of Wyoming. My experience reflects work with children of all ages and with adults. I identify myself as a Person-Centered Therapist, which means that in counseling, I take each client as they are, and work to create an environment in the counseling room where clients feel safe to work through whatever they decide to bring to session. For children, this means utilizing play therapy to allow them to work through and process their inner world through play.

Growth and change can feel scary and unfamiliar. My goal as a counselor is to support change and to encourage clients to fulfill their individual goals for counseling. No client is the same, and I believe that by working together, we can initiate unique change for each individual or family that comes to counseling.
